Born into a family of acclaimed roots musicians, Natalie Padilla was immersed in the traditions of Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Texas-Style Fiddle music at a very young age. Now a professor at the University of Northern Colorado’s new Folk & Bluegrass Program (where she holds a Bachelor in Music for violin performance), Natalie regularly travels regionally and internationally to teach at camps and perform.
Her most recent album “Fireweed” (Sept. 6, 2019) displays her original tunes and old-time fiddling style and melodious vocals. Her debut album “Paths and Places,” produced by Joe K. Walsh was released in 2017 and is a showcase of her composing backed by an all-star band, including Darol Anger.
Natalie is also a founding member of Colorado-based bluegrass band, Masontown, who have received praise for their versatile and virtuosic sound.
