Stephanie Sever is a dedicated student of yoga and holistic healing practices, which is what fuels her enthusiasm for teaching. While an injury is what initially brought Stephanie to yoga in 2005, it was the overall feeling of wholeness and balance that she found irresistible.
“It was if yoga showed me a magical key I was holding that unlocked different internal doors, doors that I never realized were locked and doors that I never knew existed. In my life now, I relish finding these new places every time I’m on the mat.”
Stephanie received her Vinyasa Yoga certification in 2007, privately studying under Peter Rizzo in Brattleboro, VT. She has also studied Yin and Iyengar in depth.
For over 5 years, Stephanie has been compassionately leading others to experience their yoga beyond the physical body with the hope of a deeper sense of connection. Her greatest joys come when students return with stories of practicing the union of yoga off their mats, in their everyday lives. Stephanie’s teaching style is focused on individualized breath synchronization, proper postural alignment and the mind-body connection. As a Licensed and Registered Massage Therapist, she has hands-on style of teaching, providing assists and light massage techniques throughout class. A student recently remarked, hers is a gift of simple order and healing touch…wonderful.
