About The Chemistry of Nervousness:

A negative performance experience can easily convert the joy of making and sharing music into a fearful, disappointing event. Julie will explain the role the two nervous systems play when left to their own devices. The good news is that there are specific steps you can take to harness your nerves and use them to create an even better performance!

This lesson is a one-of-a-kind: information that should be taught to every single musician on the planet but is rarely touched on and often presented in a useless manner.

This lesson was recorded as part of Strings Without Boundaries, a multi-style string conference operating for over 27 seasons. In partnership with artistic director Julie Lyonn Lieberman, recordings from past Strings Without Boundaries conferences are now available on myTalentForge.

Julie Lyonn Lieberman

Julie Lyonn Lieberman has helped develop the multi-style string field over the last forty+ years through her work as an educator, author, radio producer, composer, writer, recording artist, and performer. She started out as a fiddler, performing at folk festivals and clubs up and down the east coast in the late 1970s/early 1980s using either a mic or a Fishman pickup, depending on the gig. Her introduction to amplification and special effects began while touring with Brian Eno recording artist, Laraaji Venus, in the early 1980s. Read More About Julie→
