About Julie Lyonn Lieberman
JULIE LYONN LIEBERMAN has helped develop the multi-style string field over the last forty+ years through her work as an educator, author, radio producer, composer, writer, recording artist, and performer. She is the author of thirteen music books, six DVDs, two dozen multi-style string orchestra scores, fifty articles for music magazines, and two National Public Radio Series.
Julie has performed on and off Broadway as well as in folk and jazz clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Guatemala, France and Scotland. She is the artistic director for Strings Without Boundaries, an NS Design performance artist, and a D’Addario Premiere String Educator.
Over the last four decades, Julie has performed on and presented workshops on electric strings throughout the United States as well as abroad, including for IAJE: International Association for Jazz Education, TODA: Texas Orchestra Directors Association, ASTA: American String Teachers Association, ESTA: European String Teachers Association, as well as state string teacher training sessions and school residencies.
