About Fiddling with a French Accent:
It’s ALL About The Rhythm! Fiddling is a strong cultural marker for Franco-Americans, Acadians, Québecois, and Cajuns. I demonstrate fiddle tunes from three of my mentors (Acadian, Quebecois, and Cape Breton), tease apart their regional style differences, and teach the rhythm kick that’s the heartbeat of the style. Cajun fiddling also has its roots in Acadia, so I’ll teach one of my favorite Cajun tunes. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
